Lol, my boss shipped some stuff to some lady who found our number and called from Australia.  It was a HUGE hassle, therefore he'll never consider it again . .

Mate, it's a foregone conclusion that shipping bowling balls to Oz is too expensive to make it worth the purchase, even if the aussie dollar has crept up in value vs. the usd.

Unless it is impossible to find in Oz, you might just want to keep it local.

Matt,

Take a look at www.bowlersparadise.com

That's where I ordered my Dyno-Thane Thing, which I cannot get here in Sweden.

Matt I ordered a double shoulder bag from bowlingindex.com last year. It
cost me $156.00. About 40% of that cost was the freight charge from the
USA. On that site you can get a shipping quote to wherever in the world
you want your gear delivered. You just have to convert it to AUS $$$$.
Now the package with the bag only weighed 4.5 lb. Importing a ball no
matter how strong the Aussie dollar,is very expensive. Going to your
local pro shop would be advisable. When you add such probloms as wierd
top weight and pin lengths, warranty issues or maybe having to ship the
ball back because of defects it could turn into a nightmare.

You might want to visit totalbowling.com.au and have a read in the forum.
A huge firestorm has erupted on this very subject.

I have shipped all over the world within the last year.

I have sent balls to Singapore, France, Canada, Mexico, Germany and had a deal with a guy in AussieLand but it never came thru.

I have my UPS shipping logs here. Tell me what you are looking for and I'll get you a price.

Sometimes you need to "fudge" the facts a bit like listing the irem as a gift or a replacement for a damaged product or something but I have heard of it being done hassle free.

Lemme know!!!

Matt,I have used www.bowlingindex.comhttp://four times for balls delivered to Oz.No problems at all!Evey time I've received exactly what I ordered in very quick time(longest del.time has been 8 days, fastest 4 days). As far as price goes I've bought each ball at a comparable price to what I'd pay in Oz(some are a fair bit cheaper). For shipping choose the Global Express option (insured approx $86.40) and ball will be delivered to your door.
