AllStar bowling - don't do it!!
« on: August 29, 2007, 01:36:58 AM »
I hate to say it but you guys are right about this guy!!  I had dealt with him on Ebay a few times and everything was ok so...I ordered a KR 3-4 Eliminator Bag on his website.  He was one of the few places left that had any and his price was good.  They sent me a KR 2-3-4 bag.  I really wasn't too mad.  The bag is ok and I decided to keep it.  Well there is a price differnece between the two bags - the one he sent is $15.45 LESS.  Now mind you i'm doing him a favor by keeping the wrong bag HE sent - saves him shipping and headache.  Well guess what i can't even get them to acknowledge the mistake.  I've left numerous messages and emails to no avail.  I talked to a guy once who told me he couldn't do anything about it until the "boss" got back.  I asked him if he had a KR 3-4 Eliminator and of course he didn't have any in-stock.  Well i called KR and they haven;t made that bag in a year so i'm not getting one from good old All Star Bowling!!  AND to top it off the guy tells me he can't credit my card without his boss but would give me a $15 credit for the next time i order form them - WELL THAT WILL BE NEVER!!  What a scam these guys are - i'm lucky I got a bag at all!!  Apparently he needs a $15 tip for screwing up and sending the wrong product!!  Very poor buisness practices to "steal" from customers.  This guy is shady - stay away from him!!

So, does that mean I shouldn't buy the Vise grips for $1.50 from his site?

TCP, you seem to place waaaaay to much relevance on a profile.  If BrunsNick deletes his, does that instantly make him less credible?

Hey guys - Lane from All Star contacted me and cleared up the problem.  They gave me a credit on the difference so...they did come through.  He was very sincere and seemed to want to help.  I hope it didn't take more neagtive postings for them to respond but if they take the time to help all of their cusomters as they did for me I think they might be a worthwhile On-Line Pro Shop.

Lane seems to be really trying to improve things. I placed an order this weekend, and the order was shipped on Monday, I will get it tomorrow. This is my first purchase from them, but maybe try and give Lane a shot.

Come on, you are not gonna order from Joe and you know it... You used to be user BOWL and you always knock Joe and his business anytime you get the chance..

Jos is having some problems but he seems to be trying to work all the kinks out with the hiring of this new guy Lane.. The bottom line is if you don't want to deal with Joe, don't. There are plenty of other online places to use..

If people are in a current deal with Joe and there are problems, I understand them posting whats going on here to let people know..

I just see no reason for people that have NEVER dealt with Joe to bash him..

I am thinking about ordering from them. I want to know who Lane is to the Business. Is He part Owner? Why is Joe having so many problems?

I am partner of Joe in one of the new shops we have opened up. I have been here at BallReviews for quite awhile, my username is/was LAA and have had plenty of dealings here, buying, selling, and trading.

Thanks,
Lane

Joe is a good guy. I've bought numerous balls from him. Yes the last order took a little while but i know he was really busy opening those other shops. Joe is trying to get back on track. SO give him a little time. At least LANE is being helpful.
