I have a Jayhawk ball spinner, it is a one speed, I want to make it faster, I know that I can decrease the size of the pulley on the ball cup side an accomplish this, can anyone tell me how much smaller to go and where I might find the parts (pulley and belt) to do this.

What is the current diameter of the driven pulley and the size of the shaft.
What type of keeper does it use? Woodruff key, flat on the shaft, etc.
Depending on the answers to these questions you should be able to find an adjustable sheave to use this will allow you to tailor the pulley size to your needs. They are ususlly adjustable to a 1" range.

Not sure where you are, but in AZ, WalMart, Ace, all have 'swamp cooler" parts. You will need to know the motor speed, and current cup pulley size. I was told by a cooler salesman, that going down 1" will multiply the speed by 25%. I had asked about building my own spinner, not sure of it, but that's what he told me.
