Does this happen to you?
« on: January 14, 2006, 11:34:11 PM »
My wife & I bowl on a mixed couple league on saturday nights. The house constantly puts open bowlers on the pair next to our league, leaving a single lane vacant. Last night they put 10 high school aged boy on one lane. We spent the whole night waiting for them, because they were getting their ball from the wrong side of the return / walking up on the wrong side / wrestling on the approach / standing at the foul line trying to block each others shots. The manager said it was OK, because there was a vacant lane between them and our league.
The house has glow bowl scheduled for 11:30, our league is scheduled for 8:30, but the previous league run over so we usually start around 9:00. At 11:30 the lights go out and the glow bowl starts whether we are finished or not.
Does this happen where you bowl??????????

The management would not want to deal with some bowlers in our leagues if that situation went on....including me!

Leagues will move under less irritating conditions!

Pardon me, but what does this have to do with online pro shops?

I have bowled on leagues where they have open bowl like what you were saying and it never affected me because we always had respectable open bowlers with etiquette.  I would be ticked off if I was on your league and I had hooligans like the ones you described bowling two lanes over from me.  And turning out the lights for glow bowl before you guys are done is crazy.  Ive never heard of that happening before either.

Nothing to do with online Pro Shops. This was my first time posting and was not aware of the heading to be applied.

I tried to explain to my wife and the members of the team we were bowling was the issue should be with the centers management and not with the open bowlers who obviously had no idea what they were doing wrong. These open bowlers were there early for the glow bowl which can best be described as a free for all.
