Hi Warren, ok, here goes:
1) dump the lite blue text, it's not what one should use with a white background
2) center your site's logo on top of your page (at least its not on mine)
3) put your two text columns right under each other instead on opposite sides of the page as your page seem kinda clutterd
here's a site that is very plain but works real well since its easy on the eyes and still easy to navigate to the area you would want to...
