MGbowling & BowlingBallSales
« on: October 22, 2013, 12:34:30 PM »
I did a search and found some older postings (2008 being the latest) regarding these two online proshops, but would like current feedback.

Has anyone had any recent experience  with either of these two online pro-shops ?

I think I last ordered from them around a year ago, with past history of doing so, but not in great quantities. I have had no problems with them, although I believe they are owned by the same entity. Their similarities go beyond coincidence. I will not guarantee any dealing with them but I'd have no fear or hesitation doing, UNLESS there is something you have heard about them that I haven't.

May i ask what are either of these sites offering that intrigues you?  I skimmed one site and prices were not any better on anything.  Id stick to the few we know and trust.  I dont like seeing stuff on there at full price when...
Bowlersdeals, buddies and bowlerx has them at closeout prices.

I have had no issues with them. I found out they are linked to bowling.com. Pretty much an umbrella like Storm/Roto. The only thing that is different compared to bowling.com is you are not able to use any coupons on orders with MG or BBS.

Thanks for the feedback.

Billdozer, I'm wanting to buy a 14lb Brunswick Red/Orange Slingshot and both online pro-shops show them to be in stock.  Bowling.com has them in stock also, but I would have to pay Texas sales tax in addition to the packaging fee.

Gotchya.  Im not into brunswick core numbers but I am hearing WAY better things about that "strikeking" than those slingshots..

Obviously. :D
The StrikeKing is a big backend type of ball, like the Breeze, only more so.
The Slingshot is a control type of reaction, usually better for the dry because the dry provides so much of the backend necessary. Ironically, the Breeze was so much more than the controlled Slingshot. Today the StrikeKing is so much more than the Breeze, but much less of the control that's really needed for dry lanes.
