OK first let me start of by saying that "DAVID ATWOOD" from BANGER BOWLING is a great guy and I know this ball line will be a power house once it is out there on the lanes a little more. With that said....

HOLY S#$%T this ball is just simply AMAZING. I don't write many reviews but this one deserves a little of my time. Purchased ball out at National's in Reno for the Team squad. TONS and TONS of oil.

This ball NEVER stops and hits HARDER then anything I have EVER thrown. You sometimes feel like when you throw a ball that hooks that you have no control NOT with the HOLE POUNDER (plus who has a better name then that!) I only didn't carry ONE TIME in three games!!!! That's a pretty good percentage in my book. The ball actually gave me more room on the lane then anybody out there. I had at least 10 people ask me what I using. Then more then half went and purchased the ball.

Drilling is simple 4x4 stacked.....

If you need a ball that is easily controled and hits the pins HARDER then anything out there well the HOLE POUNDER SOLID is the best out there  by a LONG SHOT.

Like the slogan "WHEN YOU NEED THE BALLS TO FIND THE HOLE" well it should also say "WHEN YOU NEED TO CRUSH AND DESTROY THE PINS" use a BANGER BALL.

Look for a review on the PEARL HOLE POUNDER I am bowling singles and doubles tonight...

Thanks Dave....

David Atwood what can I say great guy.  Met this guy out in the national tourney.  Dude is best guy you'd ever meet.  Makes some damn fine equipment too. that said, on to the review.

Myself am a left hander with high ball speed(15-17mph)  med revs.  I would say i am a power tweener.

Ball: 15lb 4 inch pin 2.5 top

Drilling: 4x4  slight balance hole pin just above and to left of ring finger with cg stacked out of box finish

Lanes condition:  This is a heavy oil monster.  That is what there was at nationals lots of oil,  I have fresh shot for all three events team, singles and doubles.

review:  Used the hole pounder solid for all three events none of my other stuff would wrinkle.(mammoth, black widow, jolt particle, hole pounder solid, jolt pearl)  This ball gave me couple board area which was more than anybody else had.  It gets thru heads clean if there is oil dont try without.  Ball reads midlane well and makes it move at about 40 foot and does not stop moving and hits like no other. For three events never left one 7 pin with this ball and the light hits carries them all.  This ball is simply amazing i got to try this ball at the BTM a guy named big john from NJ was on pair next to me happened to be left handed and let me try his i was truly amazed it is so much stronger than any other ball out there i went right to the both at nationals and drilled one of each solid and pearl.  Again david spoke with me worked toget everything perfect and even came out to watch me throw this wonderful equipment in tourney. Treats you like your one of his friends hes known for years.  Can't say enough about these balls and the man behind them,  Go buy this equiment you wont be disappoineted.  give this ball a solid 9.5 out of ten.  MUST BUY

PAP:
4 right, 3/8 down -- Speed: 15-16 -- Rev Rate: Tweener (medium)

Layout:
4 1/2 @ 75 degrees -- Pin in the ring finger

Ball Surface:
Out-Of-Box

Lane Condition:
House Shot - The oil pattern tends to be Medium-Heavy from 8 to 8 and then a lighter blend from about 8 to 5 on both sides, with outside of 5 being fairly dry....typical bank shot setup.

Ball Motion/Reaction:
I've bowled with this ball for 2 sets now and have shot 726 and 660(which should've been 750 except for some operator error!).  Both sets yielded a 279 game, 1 being the last game (front 9, 4pin strike) and the other being the first game (front 8, stone 9, sheet).

What is great about this ball with this layout is that I'm able to play roughly 10 to 5 starting out and because of it's predictability and very controlling motion off the break, it has allowed me to maintain the pocket with small moves during the transition where other balls would create trouble before having the opportunity to move with the shot.

As both nights went on, I was able to move in to 13 and keep a small bump to 8, however anything right of that was nothing but friction and the HPS let me know it had encountered too much.  What I really liked about this ball was being able to keep it in the oil and maintain a tremendous amount of hitting power as it picked up very nicely on the backend.

I did learn during the 660 set that this ball will tell you exactly how to play the lanes.  I say this because I did encounter some over/under reaction with how I migrated my feet and mark the last game.  Sticking with my plan from the 726 series, it was proven that some nights are not always like others based on who you're bowling with.  The last game of the 660 series I was trying to play 14 to 10 as I did before and the ball just wasn't giving me the same results.  Not allowing myself to let the lanes dictate how I should play them, I continued to try and force the tighter shot when the HPS was literally trying to slap me in the face to tell me I need to go around the shot.  Needless to say, the fill-ball of the last game I made a large move and threw my final shot 15 to 5 and the HPS banked right of the dry and destroyed the pins.  So I guess you're wondering what it was that I learned....well, the over/under told me I was either throwing the wrong ball or playing the lanes wrong.  I think it's obvious it wasn't the ball!!

With the reaction I'm getting and the hitting power this ball is producing as it enters the pocket, I'm looking forward to some healthy honor scores very soon.

P.S. - What I really like about this ball more than anything is that because of the color of the ball and the color of the logos, you are able to really watch the ball move down the lane and how it reacts at different areas of your ball path.  To me this is extremely helpful as I'm able to really focus on the balls breakpoint location, which in turn enables me to maintain a higher carry percentage.

    Bowlers specs
    Speed: 17-19 MPH
    Revs: 280 RPMS
    Axis tilt: medium
    Desription:
    Weight: 16 lbs 1oz
    Top weight: 2.62oz
Pin to CG distance: 3.975 inches
Surface prep: Ball left out of box 600 sanded
    Drilling
    Pin to PAP: 3-3/8
    CG to PAP: 5inches
    Simple label leverage drilling

    Conditions:
So far i have played this ball in two different houses: one has AMF synthetics, the other has old wood lanes with a gaurdian on the heads (pba ex league)

    Line being played
on the synthetics i was able to play a nice little swing 15 at arrows 8 at breakpoint.
i played this ball on the shark at my other house
i played the shark direct up 8 board.  i have never had a ball that would react there but this ball is a true oil monster.
    Ball path shape
this ball really lopes through the front part of the lane and picks up in the midlane and rolls real hard into the pins.  This ball covers more boards than my Elite Shark or my Track Rule GP2 did.

    Overall Opinion:
This ball has been great so far.  The only thing i dont like about it is the fact that i rarely see enough oil to play it.  I will probably be picking another one of these up to drill a little weaker and make some surface changes on.

    Specs:
    15.04lbs
    2.97top
    3-1/2 inch pin

    Pic: http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/8950/solidholepoundervg2.jpg

    Layout:
    Pin is 4-1/2 from PAP
    CG is 3-1/2 from PAP
    Weight hole is on Val

    21 year old wood house
    Recently resurfaced last year
    PBA Shark Pattern, 44ft
    PBA Experience League

I haven't tried an off brand in ages. I recently contacted David Atwood who is President of Banger Bowling Products about getting on Team Banger Test Staff. I received both the Hole Pounder Solid and Pearl. I wanted the Hoel Pounder Solid to roll early and arc which it is made to do.

My first test was in my PBA Experience League on the Shark Pattern. The pattern plays really heavy from front to back with strip backends. I played up the track going any where from 15 to 10. The ball rolls heavy and when it hits the pins it just rips it up. I was amazed. This ball hits like no other. When i think this ball is going to leave flat 10's literally because of the way the ball rolls and sets it slices the pins across the deck. It even pushes the pins straight back.I was able to use the ball all 3 games. The only thing about this ball is that the strength of it is when you play straighter. Bellying the ball is seems to be it's weakness.

    Brunswick HPL Synthetics.
20 years or older i am guessing
    Fresh oil shot
35 ft heavier concentration in the middle and lighter outside with strip backends.

When my other reactive balls are over hooking this is the ball i go to. Some how it blends out the wet/dry really well. It doesn't over react at all. I used an up the back release and the ball rolled and setup perfect. Excellent. I would recommend this ball to anyone who wouldn't mind trying an off brand ball.

Great work David! Can't wait to try the Hole Finder.

    Hole Pounder Solid
    15lbs
    Right handed
    17-19mph
    400-450 rev rate
    Drilled: Stacked Leverage
    Average 2006 book 202

I don't know much about drillings I leave that up to my ball driller. So I can tell you that by the drill sheet the ball is drilled stacked leverage.

I wanted a ball that would go down the lane and turn really hard on oily conditions. I talked with someone at the nationals booth in reno, but didn't buy the ball till about 3 weeks ago.

Condition: Synthetics, house shot 38 feet buff to 42.

I bowl at 9pm and follow a handicap league where the lanes get really unpredictable depending on the two teams that were bowling before us. I tried my Ebonite one in practice but the ball just wanted to go left when it read any dry at all, the lanes were all over the place. I pulled out the hole pounder solid and moved about 5 boards left and played around 3rd arrow out to about 5 at the break. This is where I was extremely shocked, the ball even with the oob finish cleared the heads and midlane with ease and when it reads the break it makes a controllable arc back to the pocket. The ball made the lanes a lot easier to play when I thought the shot was very bad. I bowled better than everyone the opening night of league shooting 689 235,237,217 I wish I was always this good.

Strong points: The hole pounder solid is great when the lanes are very unpredictable and I want a ball that will give me the same consistent look shot after shot. The ball does exactly as I was told it does. It hooks a lot but I can control it all the way down the lane. This will probably be the ball I go to first when the lanes are really nasty.

I am having a hole pounder pearl sent to me and I should have it by tuesday and I will post a review as soon as I use it.

I can't wait to see what else this company comes out with.

I have the HPP HPS and the HFP and this ball is the most aggressive so far. I am very impressed with this ball. I polished the ball because it was too sensitive with the drilling I have on the ball.

This ball works great playing up the middle of the lane and getting it out to about 12. I have never seen so much grip on the lane when this ball finishes

Another great ball from Banger Bowling

Amazing bowling ball! this ball lives up to it's name, it's pounds the pins and they go flying everywhere! This ball is also an oil eater, it cuts through long patterns as if they weren't even there. Throw this ball on short patterns though and you will pay the price, it over-reacts and goes right through the face of the pins. On long patterns with a length drill the ball goes about halfway down lane then makes its move and smashes the pins. Great bowling ball by a great company! Welcome back Banger.
