I laid this ball out with the Pin above my finger on my gripline, and the CG 1 1/4 of gripline.



The condition that I used this ball on was a 2nd shift with 40 feet of oil and some light carrydown.



Well, if you are expecting a New Purple X-Calibur, DON'T.  I drilled this ball because I liked the X-Calibur core design and I loved all the old X-Caliburs.  I threw it in practice and had a great shot with it, so I went with it the first game and threw it all three games.  Myself, along with three other pro shop guys watched the reaction and everyone said that it had a great read of the lane and good hitting power.  The ball was able to get through the heads very easily and started reading in the midlane.  The hit power of this ball is right up there and I threw some messenger throughout the night.  This is a great ball.  It isn't a heavy oil ball, but it is a great medium oil ball.  The Legend will skid/flip when you have an over/under condition, or when you have crisp backends.



On a scale of 1-10, I would say this ball is a solid 8.  The pearl coverstock will give you good length, with great midlane roll and reaction.  If you want a solid ball that will be great on medium condition, then don't be afraid to add this to your bag.  I think the Legend is a great addition to the X-Calibur name.

Initially, for me this ball was great. I have a fair amount of hand and I get pretty good roll. I drilled it 4x4. First game out of the box I shot 279 with the ball. I went on a 7 day tear with games of 263, 278 on Monday, 296 (please, don't even ask) on Tuesday, and rounded out the week with 290 on Saturday. Needless to say, I cleared a little bit of pocket change that week. I cleaned and polished the ball after league after league that Saturday and it's been downhill from there. I still shot good score, posting a lot of 240's and 250's, but that something extra the ball had intially wass gone. This ball sent messengers like no other piece I'd ever thrown. Now I get the occasional flat 10 on a shot that would have carried before I touched the surface. It's kind of the reason I'm not big on proactives and all other balls with mica, PET flakes, or some other type of additive. It seems once you alter the surface, even just polishing, you get a different ball.  Overall, this ball is a great addition to your arsenal, and if you like what you've got out the box use Windex or a cleaner like that. Keep it off the spinner.

I have had my X-Calibur for about 3 months. i got it drilled using nuline's 3rd drill pattern. 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 with a balance hole 1 inch beyond my PAP. at first i left it in it's box condition and wasn't satisfied. it was lacking carry and i couldn't get the backend i wanted. i went to my pro shop, hit it up with a scotch brite, now i was loving it. i was getting about 4-6 more boards out of it and it was ripping the rack. then, after getting more equipment, i polished back a little, and it is all backend now. u think it is gonna slide and roll out, but then it turns the corner about 45-50 feet down the lane. nuline's best ball so far.. a solid 8.5

Ok well i just bought my legend about a week ago had it drilled for only 4 days, and im madly in love with this ball. I have owned mostly AMF balls and some Zones but this ball puts them all to a shame, minus my Assassin ball this is the best ball i have bought in many years. I have throwin in 6 games with it a personal best of 275 and in 3 games rolled a 634 series. Now this ball is not one for everyone, if your not a natural rev thrower you wont make this ball do what it was made for. My bowling partner has the new Truama ER from storm and that ball, in his hands has a nice carry and perfect backend. When i throw this ball with my natural rev i make that ball move down the lane like a drunkin sailor, with a backend that would be off the charts. So in my opinion this ball is great for the high rev thrower if your not among these people maybe a ball like the Assassin with its hook rating would be better for yourself. I for one love this ball and once i figure out its sweet spot it should do nothing but win me money which in my book makes this ball a 10.

15#  Label shift 1 o'clock safety drill.  Very readable.  Skid/roll/hook.  Good power, it carried the corners very well for the house I was in.  Slight overreaction if it swung into the dry too soon.  Wasn't quite as big of hooker as I was expecting but that is a plus.  It liked medium oil very well.  I would put it away when the oil lightened up but if it's medium or even toward heavy, this ball will handle it with good power.  A very good ball to get a read of the lanes with.
