You'll see an impromptu layout on the ball already. (2nd pic)  I've read good things and bad things about this ball though, does anyone have any idea which pin goes where and if it even matters?

I spun this up on a Determinator this afternoon and the PSA ends up being 6 3/4" from both pins.  It's at the center of the slightly erased circle in front of the nose on the bomb. (1st pic)

Right... I forgot to add that I have a sheet for this ball and the Fat Man as well.

Oddly enough I pretty much ignored the layout sheet and used a 4 1/2" pin to PAP 40x40 layout on it using the PSA mark I made with the DeTerminator and it ended up being a layout on the sheet...

I'm just worried about having the label upside down like it is messing up the reaction.

The ball will be very mild with low overll hook regardless of how you drill it. Very mild cover. Dry is needed for the ball to turn over. The other responses are correct in the drilling info.

I had one a while back (little boy).  I forget exactly how it was drilled (bought it used and just adjusted the span/thumb).. seems to me it had one pin next to ring finger and the other near the center of grip.  Anyway, I remember that the ball was very easy to get down the lane and revved up/flared a ton... but didn't seem to hook very much overall.  it definitely needed some dry boards to react.  I actually kind of liked the reaction...

Drilled this ball with roughly the layout seen above.  Due to the location of the CG and the possibility of it being mismarked the finger holes had to be drilled around 4" deep to remove excessive finger weight.

No balance hole yet, but I might try one in an attempt to further lower the RG of this ball.

Ball motion reminds me of a Black Widow with a really weak cover.  Skid, midlane hook, and roll with very little continuation once it makes the direction change.  Can't say this is anything special, but I still want to try it on lighter oil or wood lanes where there is more friction.

My Little Boy (16lb) is drilled with the pin above the ring finger and the other pin above the thumb.  I don't recall the drill sheet but it was basically one of the weaker layouts provided.  I didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary, just what the sheet showed.

OOB finish it was squirly and gave me a lot of over under.  When I scuffed the cover with a green pad it was too strong.  So I polished it and the Little Boy became a great medium/light oil ball.

It pretty much reacted just like you all state, smooth down the lane, easy length, and a good strong move off the dry, and finished well.  It carried better than anything I've ever thrown, too bad mine was stolen.

If I could buy another I would.

I used to have this ball. Pretty good ball. Did not hit that hard, but had a very consistent reaction. I couldn't tell you about the Fat Man which everyone bashed. I actually still have a video of me practicing back in 2001 with me getting a bunch of strikes with it. The little boy was great for crankers which at the time I was. These balls were helped developed by former PBA cranker Kelly Coffman. So they were great if you liked to crank the ball, get an average to smaller reaction but very consistent.

The drilling I had the ring finger to the left of the top pin. The bottom pin was a couple inches to the left of my thumb. This made it have an arch down the lane. When long and arched in a very defined way. If you could only see the look of the driller who drilled mine at the time was lost trying to figure out how to drill this ball. Overall I would think you would ignore the CG and treat the bottom pin basically like you would a mass bias marking.

I also think if I had the ball again the drilling you have laid out is what I would try. On another note, I thought AZO was dead and gone but one pro shop likes to get underground bowling equipment that most don't carry in my area like Visionary and Lane #1. He brought in three new AZO balls last week.

For anyone that's interested the PSA on these can be found by drawing a line through the 2 pins and drawing another line perpendicular to this line at the mid point between the pins.  These cores spin up to two marks on this perpendicular line, both roughly 6 3/4" from the line drawn through the pins.
