I noticed that Buddies has AZO's stuff on Clearence, Prices are pretty good but is the company still in business?

Pretty good? maybe better than they were.
I really wanted to try a Ultra Radical, but at $135 for what I would consider to be equivalent to a Brunswick BVP or Hammer Psycho/Anger type of ball, the prices seem way too high.
If their prices got down to a BVP's or less, I might think more about actually trying one. But priced around a Virtual Gravity and Lanemasters and other premium proven balls, I can see why people are not beating down Buddies door to buy one.
I think they're still in business and Storm (owner of AZO) doesn't expect the "conversion" to popularity to be overnight, given their limited availablity and limited use. I think Buddies is just trying to move "dead wood".

I think AZO's High end the Pure and Pro Tactics or on Par or better than ANY other I end line.

Glad you like them. I was just stating, as far as I know, the general situation. They are, to the vast majority of bowlers both here and in general, an unproven manufacturer (they are not the AZO they once were). As such, the risk with spending so much money for unproven technology is very high and the resulting AZO purchases are correspondingly low.
If I could get my hands on one for a reasonable price ($75 delivered or less.then I'd have it drilled.), as stated above, I'd be more than glad to try one. As the situation stands right now, I have no desire to do so.

Ultra Radical Pearl Purple and Pure Tactics are amazing bowling balls, the Ultra Radical Solid is just ok nothing special.
Had the Pro Tactics it was good but not as good as the Pure, needed more oil but did not take polish well.
Btw did not pay that high of prices always helps to know someone, any pro shop can sell these at mid and high po price points with no issues dont let them lie to you.

totally agree with charlest....also they really don't help out pro shops very well either. The origional AZO's were the best, IMHO.

Better than they were???....doubtful.

Good evening ,
We are definetly still in business discontinuing a few balls . We are doing some restructuring of the company. Storm still owns the brand and produces them.
Keep striking!

Joe,
Lanemasters bought everything, plant and manufacturing processes, etc., except the name. Storm bought that last year and resurrected the AZO name. AZO is a subsidiary of Storm, similar to the Roto-Grip situation.

well if AZO is with Storm they are in good hands, Storm makes a good product vastly superior to Ebonites imo.
I beleive small companies linked to larger companies i.e. AZO with Storm will do fine, it is the companies not linked that will suffer.

I do get a kick out of this: "...we use the Cartesian Coordinate System..." they make it sound like designing cores for freakin' bowling balls is like building the Burj Dubai in the UAE which is 2684 feet from ground floor to the pinnacle.
now that is great
