I am needing a light oil ball and was wondering which ball is the best light oil ball on the market.
Thanks

This is what the people in my thursday league use except for me I use an old Cuda/C(polished to 2000);
Storm: Big Hit Pearl & Tropical Storm
Track: Desert Heat & Heat
Lane #1: Bullet
Dyno-Thane: Crisis Pearl
Visionary: Slate Blue Gargoyle
Hammer: Pure Hammer(Polished) & Vibe
AMF: Justice Pearl & Titan
Brunswick: Punisher
Columbia: Scout Black/Red
Ebonite: Fire & Cross Fire
MoRich: Sahara
Roto-Grip: Super Sonic

The machine keeps puttin them up I keep puttin em down.

Steve....
Track Desert Heat....look no further, this is an awesome drier lane ball.

It's all pretty tricky stuff.
Dry lane???
Short pattern?
Light volume pattern?
For short patterns I've liked the Dynamic Groove from Brunswick.
Now replaced with a Power Groove. Big backend reaction far past end of oil!
For light volume patterns I've liked a Panic from Columbia quite a bit or a Sonic X from Roto Grip quite a bit! Rounded reaction just past oil pattern.
A couple of ideas.

Steve,
As you can see from the replies so far, and I do agree, there is no one best solution. There are many very good candidates (ball manufacturers have learned their jobs well!).
It depends on your lane surface, the oil pattern and your style of bowling.
Take your pick of balls.
From Rhinotec's list:
Remove Track Heat
Replace Brunswick Punisher with Power Grooves or just the Dry/R
Replace Roto-Grip Super-Sonic with Mercury
Replace Dyno-Thane Crisis Pearl with Barrage
Replace AMF choice's (Justice Pearl is NOT for dry lanes) with Orbit

Bowling: Just like hand grenades and horse shoes, you only have to get close.
Life: Deal with what is.

The thread states "Light" oil not dry.

I am looking for something that is a step down from my Screamin' Banshee.

Just came across this post.
I find the "fired up" to be an excellent light oil ball.
Here are the balls I use depending on the lane conditions.
Vertigo
Ragin Banshee
Xtreme (polished)
X-Factor
Fired Up
Tropical
Spare Storm
