I have a bowling teammate that uses plastic and urethane and rubber primarily. He is a thumbless wonder at the ripe old age of 58. He bowls on a second shift league on dry synthetics.
He used a lanehawk clear ball the see thru one with no block in it 14.5 lbs. He shot 300,269,300. It was quite amazing given this house is easiest in town and everyone there has a 20 higher averaqe than anywhere else they bowl. Not taking anything away from this score cause you have to throw ball extremely well to bowl that good with plastic. I think that is much more impressive than one shot with high end stuff. just an opinion.

People are so blue when the gas mask knocks them out. They get sawed to pieces when the blade hits the lane and everyone knows they are Doomed when I set foot in the building!

I agree to a point. One of the centers in my area ran a plastic ball league a few summoners ago. Center was a wall w/ 5 out dry, but a ton of oil in. Well, they decided to make like 12 out dry and 3 guys averaged 220+, and the local "big cranker" averaged over 230. My point is, if the carry is good and they are dry enough, big scores are possible. Still a real big number with any ball.
