Rebirth AZOEEEEbonite manufactures AZO balls
« on: February 27, 2004, 09:10:53 PM »
AZO was withdrawn from ball manufacture.

Legend-Star and AZO tied up with Ebonite. Ebonite will manufacture AZO balls from now on.

It seems that it is because the manufacture technology of AZO did not fill the demand of Legend-Star.

The first cartridge of Rebirth AZO is WARRIOR.

Legend-Star said that WARRIOR made "old" AZO balls in former generation.

The Warrior webpage has the old original Hammer urethane 2-piece core. That's why AZO couldn't manufacture what Legend-Star wanted: Ebonite holds the Hammer patent on Hammer technology, I.E. the Hammer core!

The purpose is mass-producesEEEin the announcement of Legend-Star.

However , on old AZO balls , I think that the problem was in quality.

Almost of old AZO balls are smaller than balls of other companies. distortion, poresEEEE

Sorry .

MASS PRODUCTION.

I have drilled many AZO balls. When quarter circle gauge is put on AZO balls,it turns out that they are small.

When cutting thumb slug,it does not sometimes go out uniformly, like plugged balls. This regards me as it being the proof of distortion. With balls of other companies , it hardly happens.

Sorry,I am poor at English.

JK's native language is not English so he could be having problems saying/writing what he means.

Question, and this is not meant to flame any particular company, but do ball companies dump seconds overseas?

Just to clarify things AZO is manufactured in Stockton California, by Lanemasters inc. And there are only 200 bowling balls made per day, and they are handcrafted with the best resins and urethanes available.

Dear Clay,

The website of Legend-Star announced :

*Technical cooperation was carried out with EBONITE in january, this year.

*The management of production of AZO balls will be transferred to EBONITE.

*About structure, the old design concept is improved fundamentally.

*AZO balls will be improved by cooperation of Legend-Star and EBONITE.

*Old balls will become outdated.

Is this restricted to AZO balls for overseas?

Drrev17,

You mentioned Bowling This Month twice in your post.  But I agree with your comments about the inconsistency of AZO ball specs.  I brought up these issues some time ago, and it was viewed as a slam against AZO by some.  Someone here even contacted them and relayed comments on how people felt about the website.  Yet there still have been no significant improvements made to speak of.  I purchased two of their balls (Drastic, Answer).  I will be posting reviews at the end of the week after further testing.  So far I like the Drastic.  I just changed the surface a little to see how it will react next.

I'm not an AZO or Lane Masters guy, but bought the Massive Impact and like the ball. I have not looked into the core issues mentioned but overall feel that A*Z*O / Lane Masters are probably much better at building good bowling balls than they are at creating web sites.

I think the original post is really referring to some overseas deal but I'll let the company speak for that. It's unfortunate if there are errors in core description, given how much we rely on internet these days. I did notice differences in specs on some balls from the web site to some ball review sites as well.

Hi bowlers, everything in the United States is produced in Stockton California, yes there is an oversea debate going on and were dealing with this issue currently, but it has nothing to do with the United States brand, AZO, also gets shipped over seas from Lanemasters inc. as well.  As for the website issue, yes its bad and were working on a new site for both companies, so things are a little mixed up on the sites.  Anyone who wants to contact me feel free and i'll give you the information u need, until the new web site is available, and things get more in order.  Things are very busy right now and the demand is high so all are efforts are on getting balls made and making the customers happy.  We are all sorry for the inconviences that this may have caused you, but we do not have machines just popping balls out and it takes alot of time and care into making the balls as they are crafted with the best craftmanship possible and have people physically there doing them, as I said there are only so many balls made per day, they are not mass produced.  Everything in the Lanemasters, and AZO line are 2 piece currently except the Fantasy-x super carbon, the Fantasy-x Reactive, and both Tactics.

The reason for that Drrev17, is because there is a particle pearl perfection, but it is not released to the public, there is 3 perfections, but only 2 are available to the public the super carbon (blue) and the super reactive (gold), and in original design it had the core of the extreme before the 2 new perfections came available, and no one was able to update the site with the new information.
