Banger Bowling
« on: September 06, 2007, 08:32:00 AM »
I would like to take a few moments of your time to express my opinions and experiences with Banger.

I was hired to be a sales rep for Banger Bowling back in July. I worked Bowl Expo in the booth and I also made sales calls to try to get this product out into the public. I felt like there was something really good here with this product and the people around the company. My relationship with Banger unfortunately just didn't work. I believe our thought processes just weren't on the same level at this time.

I would also like to say that as much as my personal dealings with Banger Bowling didn't work out, that this company is trying to do the right thing for its customers. I always believed that David's thoughts and ideas were for the good of bowling and his customers!  I am sure that if there are any problems, Banger and Visionary will be able to work them out.

With that I would like to wish him the best of luck with the future of his company. I appreciate everything he did for me and the opportunity he gave me.

Just for the record, considering I am am Visionary Die Hard, I would not rip a person or a company without knowing the facts and that is not really who I am anyway.  Especially those that have any ties to VBP. Since I do have an affiliation to a proshop, I get my equipment at cost.  If I can get "newer" equipment for $100 on average, then why would I want to spend $200 for something that is technically 5 years old?  It is not a limited edition ball.  If I can get something very similar of 100, then why spend double?  That is all I am saying.

To David Atwood,

I apologize if you thought I was bashing you.  I do express my opinions, though I try to do it as repectable as I can.  I do look forward to the release of the new up-in-comings.

It is sad to lose a BR member because of several troll or morons cut down David Atwood.I have met David in Reno and he is a nice person to talk to.A person who can back up his products and stand behind them as well. He'll suggest a solution to problem you may have about bowling. Thanks to the morons for losing a good member.I think that there should be a forum for trolls and morons so they can chat about basically nothing in which they have no clue as to what in the world they are talking about in the first place.Next time you morons or trolls open your mouth that your mouth runs faster than your brain trying to catch up.It burn me up to see a BR member go because of this.So there for those two are on my ignore list from now on.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

I just bought a Hole Pounder Solid, and I have to say I love it. I even took the time to review the ball on here. Banger from what I can tell from the solid is that they make a very good ball. You have to love the name, and can't wait to get my pearl. Every company should have someone on here telling me about their equipment, that way I can make an informed decision about buying my next ball. I bought my banger ball at my pro-shop for 190.00 drilled with grips and slugs. I don't think that was unreasonable for a new ball. I hope to see more posts from David Atwood about Banger. BTW can I get a poster, I will even pay for one.

George,

Sorry to hear that things are not working out.  Keep in touch and let me know how things are going.  I would hate to see our friendship become distant since we're no longer representing the same company.

I look forward to seeing you on the lanes and hope we get the chance to cross with one another....although let's try to keep the 9th/10th frame rolloffs til Championship Matches!

    BR Bowlers,

Those of you that have mentioned having issues with the fact that the Pounder is utlizing the Sparkle Gryphon Core, do you feel the same about Ebonite?  If I'm not mistaken, didn't they use a core that is 5+ years old and just put a new Coverstock on it and gave it a different name?

    Stephen,

I don't think it's that it's the original Gryphon core with a Vis. pearlized cover it's the difference in cost.  Correct me if I am wrong boys.

BTW....did you give up on Visionary?  I see you dumped them on your sig. and have Banger in it's place.

ya know.. by reading some of these posts, you'd think that there would be some more common sense out there.  Does anyone out there think that ALL BOWLING BALL MFG don't borrow from one another.  DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE TRACK HAVOC???  HMMM isnt that a AMF NIGHTHAWK WGT BLOCK?? brunswick Parker bohn III MVP,(an old bruswick sapphire), track code red (columbia pulse), storms reusing the thunder wgt block on their new stuff, (track, columbia, amf all reuse each others weightblocks)  all there cores just get rolled over to other balls, slap on a new cover stock and a catchy name and you got a new ball out.  even the wgt blocks used on the track machine line, and the ebonite NV line are worth giving a look to.   look at all the ball companies.  track borrows from columbia, columbia borrows from ebonite, etc.  the list goes on and on, but yet nothing gets said about the BIG 3 (bruswick, columbia, ebonite).  how come???  because they have big advertising budgets???  or that they can sell theire equipment for lots less????  granted i can't afford to drop $200 bucks a ball (ball, drilling etc), but sounds like dave atwood is doing what he can to get the name out there, and by moving to vegas, that should help. (maybe he can get eric forkel to an endorsement contract?).  I got a banger fantasy ball and i love it.  (ok its part of my starter kit).  and i have been wanting to try a banger hole pounder, i've read some great things about both the pearl and solid.  just give'em time and exposure and see what happens.

ok.. just my two cents.. but banger is worth tryng them out.. you might just be surprised.  af
