Bowlers Paradise Elite
« on: June 08, 2005, 04:09:31 AM »
I am so upset I don't know where to start. I feel like a fool and you would to after you read the following. I will list it in numbered easy to follow format.

1. I purchased an "Elite" from Bowlers Paradise and spend $175 for it undrilled.

2. After drilling I have $245 invested, could have bought any ball

3. The reaction is moderate, in fact it acted very much like my old zone

4. Upon further inspect and phone calls I found out it is a Powercoil 18 coverstock found on mid performance Brunswick balls.

5. This is the coverstock that was used on the Zone and current mid level products

6. I found it so worthless and was curious about their energy transfer core, which by the way they won't tell you what it is or show a picture, so I had a friend with a band saw cut the ball in half.

7. Son of a gun if this isn't the core that can be found in mid priced older Brunswick monster products.

8. After threatening to expose their scam, they offered me a full refund on a drilled ball and would ship me anything I wanted free if I would keep my mouth shut.

9. I turned them down. Just because they advertise on TV doesn't give them the right to sell a $80 ball for $160.00.

10. They may be reputable, but when it comes to the Elite ball line they are scam artists.

wow, that sucks, but haven't you already posted this before?

Yes he has.. And if he's still upset about it, he needs to get over it.

Dude, you didn't research your purchase, you got a decent ball that will work on many different conditions. It's PK18 a decent coverstock.

Did you pay more than you needed to for it? Depends. Does it match up to your game well? If so, then maybe you didn't.

Bottom line, deal with it & do better research next time around.

Stop flogging this dead horse.

It is a legitemate gripe and no more research can be done, I said it before no where on the entire net could i find pics of their cores, which are yes older brunswick cores.  They even have there own website like other manufacturers but yet agian no core pics.  HOW can you sale bowling balls without showing people what kind of core is in the ball.  I would never ever buy a ball not knowing exactly what core/cover I was getting period if they were $50 drilled I wouldn't buy them.

Dude,
Do you buy a car without knowing what kind of motor is in it and then complain about it later? If you are that anal about what kind of core is in there, you shouldn't have bought it without seeing it first.

Why would you buy the ball without knowing?

Elite is just an over glorified Brunswick ball....Brunswick don't sell the PK18 covered balls for enough apparently and someone at Elite thought they could get more so.....to those who bought those.....congrats you just paid 100 dollars more for a Nemesis than everyone else LOLOL
