Hole Pounder Honor score
« on: February 20, 2007, 05:47:43 PM »
I've got my HPP drilled with the pin over the bridge, and the cg out at the 5 o'clock position.  I decided to go with this ball tonight in league after seeing my Action Max (drilled the same) drift a little too far on the backends.  In retrospect, it was a good choice.

Went 268, 242 (nosed one shot for a 4-6-7), and finished with a 300 for a 810 series (my first).  The amazing part, no 10-pins all night.  I was consistent all night (except for the one shot) and the ball was smooth through the heads and very predictible turning the corner.

This was only the 3rd 800 shot in this house this season.

I heard the all the Banger balls are not (yet) USBC sanctioned.

Does this mean that you can't use them in sanctioned leagues?

It would be a bummer to miss out on excellent honor score like these just because the company couldn't afford to pay the exhorbitant fees the USBC charge for sanctioning!

Don't know where you heard that they are not USBC sanctioned.  Every ball that I have had has the USBC logo on the ball.  So that rumor is untrue.  GREAT SHOOTING.....

It's on this list

Way to go lucky!!!! This makes about 8 award scores that I know of. CONSIDERING THE FEW AMOUNT OF BALLS ON THE MARKET COMPARED THE OTHER MAJOR COMPANIES, THIS IS IMPRESSIVE. My buddy shot 299 & 741 last Fri after only 20 games on the ball. As far as USBC is concerned, if they weren't approved, why would they have had the Pearls review in the latest version of the quarterly USBC MAGAZINE that is sent to all sanctioned members.

When will the fantasy be approved so we can get our hands on that? Also do you have a release date for the Hole Finder yet?

I had a 290 & 783 clean Fri night!!! This the second award score in 3 weeks with the same ball. No alterations to the surface, just box finish & go!!! Thank goodness not everyone is using one, then I would have to try & keep up!!

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

Also, Aaron, congrats on your scores!  Hopefully there's more where these came from.
