Mr. McLaughlin,
Unfortunately, bowling does not seem to warrant enough time and money for physicists to do true measurements of gyrations of Diamond cores and coefficients of resitutution as allowed by the ABC/WIBC/USBC, whatever. Maybe tests of the correct physical relations would show what has greater effect.
For whatever it's worth, both asymmetric cores with large mass bias differentials, AND plain symmetric cores with fillers with decent cores AND good thick solid coverstocks of good materials over plain cores have all deomonstrated a GREAT HITTING power.
Any knowledgeable bowler cannot honestly tout one over the other when all have been demonstarted to work well.
I have used Visionary balls, Track and Morich asymmetrical cores, and Legends (AKA Lanemaster's) newer balls with good effect. I cannot say one is any better than the other. AND I WOULD NOT SAY THAT (even if Lanemasters does).
