Yeah Baby!
« on: November 23, 2004, 07:22:59 AM »
Holy cow, might be the best ball I've ever thrown and I've pretty much thrown them all.

I went in to my pro shop guy to throw some of his equipment as we have the exact same hand size, exact. I threw about 8 different balls and had decided to take the Dirty Bomb and the Real Deal. before we completed the deal he said I had to  try the Yeah Baby. I've seen a few good bowlers throwing this ball and was left scratching my head after watching this ball roll and hit. I said no, I don't want to throw a ball I can't use in PBA competition but he convinced me to give it a try.

Too bad!! I ended up drilling a new Yeah Baby!! right away. This could be the best ball I've ever thrown. Simply unbelievable energy retention and great through the heads. The ball seems to defy the oil pattern, seems like it hooks great in the oil and doesn't make a violent reaction when it hits the track too soon. Very hard hitting at the pins, a real winner. I've thrown it on 3 patterns in 3 houses, guardian on wood, the old Brunswick Synthetics and the new anvil lane. Each house had a different amount of oil from medium tracked out from the night before to fresh heavy oil in THS pattern.

When will they get PBA certified??!!?? I have a feeling this is gonna be a hot seller in my leagues after they see the kind of damage I'm gonna do with this ball, simply awesome!

My ball driller has sold 30 of these since the Chicago PBA stop, granted I don't notice this as he is about 35 miles away from me but well worth the trip. I am a little ticked at him for letting me throw this ball. I ended up spending money for a new ball instead of the planned used ball. I did take the Lane#1 Dirty Bomb off his hands as well, it's my first Lane#1 ball and is pretty sweet too.

Brian told me that story last night.  He said the look on your face was priceless.  He is certainly drilling a lot of those and has only had one customer who was not amazed by the reaction and results.  I'm surprised that he didn't have you try the absolute power also, he's also impressed with it.  Maybe he didn't think you could stand the extra shock.  Good luck with the yeah baby, i'm sure it will pay for itself within the first 2 weeks.

Just to update the topic, I used the Yeah baby in league last night and it did indeed pay for itself on the first night. The lanes are AMF Synthetic for the first 20 feet, wood to the new pindecks, all covered in that technological wonder we call Guardian. I have the YB in the original box finish which may have thrown me off a little the first game as I left five 10-pins with the rest strikes. As I made my adjustment I found the strike zone. Second game starts with a stone 9 followed by the next 9 and then another stone 9. Third game was all strikes except for 2 8-pins and a 9 pin.

I did throw the Absolute Power and all I can say is that this will Absolutely be in my bag soon. The Absolute may actually be better for me in my Wednesday league as the YB was hitting so hard that I left quite a few 8's and 9's. I'm really looking forward to my Friday league for which I believe the YB will be great due to the heavy long oil we bowl on.

Funny thing on how I won the money to cover the expense, I won the 30 clean after 9 weeks of rollover and the mystery pot

A Final thought, Incredible interest was shown in what I was throwing, I almost felt like the Legends Answer man. I expect to see a dozen of the Yeah Baby in my league by the end of December. If I throw a 800 or a 300 maybe even more.
