KINETIC - Official Thread
« on: December 25, 2008, 03:13:30 AM »
Hello all,

I thought I'd start a thread that we could answer any questions about the company and products.

As you've seen already the current ball is the Solaris. Its a low RG, medium differential core - its smooth and revvy and coupled to the strong pearl cover makes it easy to get to your breakpoint with a strong dependable move off it.

If you have questions about us in general post here. If you have questions about getting hold of a ball, email us directly on enquiries@kineticbowling.com

We're working right now on getting the website online, we'll let you know when its live.

Merry Christmas all,

Dave W.

How much oil can the Solaris handle? Does it match up better to synthetics or wood lanes? Thanks!

Both spellings are correct.

enquiry - an instance of questioning, a search for knowledge, a systematic investigation of a matter of public interest.

Edited because the semicolons did not work.  Commas substituted.

Is your ball a USA release or oversea's release, if you are not making your equipment who pours for you ?????

Thanks for the questions guys ..

We did check this and either spelling is acceptable.

As for the company name, we chose it prior to the release of the ball you mentioned. We considered changing it, mainly due to search engine results you get when typing 'kinetic' and 'bowling', but decided that a year or more down the line it wouldn't be a big problem.

Medium and heavy longer patterns.

When we designed the ball we wanted the strongest pearl available. So what you will get is a strong move off dry boards. The ball is designed with patterns over 40ft in mind, and for tight inside lines, although its all down to how you drill it. The core will give you easy continuous revs for the length of the lane (low rg, med/high diff), and we feel that matching this to the strong cover makes for a controllable but highly entertaining reaction shape!

We played a small tester competition (14 players) on a long multiple angle shot put down by a Kegel machine, and the Solaris placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with 2 of our test staff averaging over 230 with it on its first outing (one box finish, one lightly scuffed). We were, needless to say, ecstatic!

Obviously it'll work well on either synthetic or wood. But this particular release will roll well on those wooden lanes that sap the balls energy early.

There will be video of ball reaction on the website. =]

The ball is poured by Global 900 in San Antonio.

It's available worldwide. It's availability is not restricted to any particular Zone like many of those Asian only overseas releases. If you can't get your hands on one, then contact us directly or put your local pro shop in contact with us. We are currently have availability in the USA, Canada, UK and Ireland, Germany (and central Europe), with Scandinavia and Australia in negotiations.

I'm interested in trying it out, as I like to try out other companies because I like to have different equipment than other people. So if I tell my pro shop to order one from your website than you can ship it to him? I'm in the U.S. not overseas somewhere.

the core is obviously different.  As are the RG and DIF numbers.

It's always nice to be the first person with an exotic new ball! PM me an email address and i'll give it to the relevant person (I dont deal with orders). If you want to give us an email for your proshop as well we shouuld be able to work something out. =]

While it might look similar, as someone pointed out, the numbers are quite different. We wanted a fast revving ball with a strong controlled breakpoint. The cover should be stronger on the Solaris too.

Thanks! We know we'll need to put in a lot of work to try and build a customer base.

Incidentally, the Solaris and all forthcoming balls are and will be USBC approved. I know a few people have already been asking and I hadn't mentioned it.

For info on pricing and getting hold of the ball, whether you are an individual or a Pro Shop, I'd ask that rather than PM me, that you email the http://enquiries@kineticbowling.com address, as that will get your request directly to the person incharge of orders.

Many thanks,

Dave W.
