KINETIC - Official Thread
« on: December 25, 2008, 03:13:30 AM »
Hello all,

I thought I'd start a thread that we could answer any questions about the company and products.

As you've seen already the current ball is the Solaris. Its a low RG, medium differential core - its smooth and revvy and coupled to the strong pearl cover makes it easy to get to your breakpoint with a strong dependable move off it.

If you have questions about us in general post here. If you have questions about getting hold of a ball, email us directly on enquiries@kineticbowling.com

We're working right now on getting the website online, we'll let you know when its live.

Merry Christmas all,

Dave W.

It worked and the colors look nice from the small shot, a full picture would be great though -)

Ryan is available on ryan@kineticbowling.com to discuss sales opportunities.

The RG on the 15 and 16s is 2.48. We'll get a full table of weights to specs on the website soon.

Can you tell us what the cover stock finish is?  Is it something like 600 grit with 2000 grit polish or...????

The final stage of cover finish for the Solaris is 2000 grit polish.

Its neither 2000 abralon, nor 2000 grit + polish. The '2000 grit polish' brings the ball from 325 grit to 2000 and polishes in one step. Its like a finishing compound.

Can I point out something that I have an issue with please?
In your marketting section of the new ball, you have the following 2 sentances.

"The low RG Trailblazer core generates an early roll ensuring smoothness throughout the lane. The Kinetic Solaris gives you more length and more back end than ever before. "

This does not make sense. It's early and smooth yet long with more backend?

Please clarify.

Thanks

Early roll and early hook are different things. The pearl cover isn't dull enough to hook early, and the core isn't a high differential flare monster than looks to hook soon or dominate ball reaction on the backend. It just revs fast.

With its medium flare potential won't simply flip and die, it'll be reasonably continuous but its meant to let the cover kick in late and not be overpowered by the core. Now since its a strong pearl and the ball hasn't used energy early or flared out and is still revving fast, the pearl is going to really bite into the backend.

We know that there are various was to combine core and cover to get angle, but we didn't want a lope-ing type of reaction that might be hit or miss for some players for our first release, or a big flaring ball that hooked plenty, but more evenly throughout the lane. We thought it best that our first ball makes a bit of angle. =]
