Revolution Balls
« on: February 13, 2006, 08:21:03 AM »
I don't know if this has been asked before or not.  Who produces Revolution bowling balls?  If they are an independent company do they have their equipment made at anothers manufacturing facility like Track being made at Columbia or Morich at brunswick.  Any info would be helpful.  Nuts.

Revolution used to be the company that Brunswick used to sell balls overseas. About 4 years ago, they briefly tried to sell Revolution brand balls to the uS. I am not sure why (probably markeing reasons) they stopped and Brunswick closed up Revolution. I am not sure when they actually stopped making them because I still see people selling Revolution balls on Ebay. I am pretty sure they stopped making Revolution balls in the US. If they are making them elsewhere, I don't know.

I think someone recently "ran off" or had Brunswick make a few new Revolution balls, like Bowlingball.com had Brunswick remake the Fire Quantum and few other Brunswick balls.

Thanks, I picked up one of those Rev Cyclones cheap.  Was wondering where I could find info on that and other balls by that company.  Wondering what coverstock it has and what I might expect.  It has polished OOB finish and comes with drill sheet but no ball info.

How ironic!

I was going to bid on one of those until I couldn't find out if it was even resin or just plastic. A while back I bid on an unknown Brunswick ball and the seller (same as your Cyclone) told me it was resin. When I got it, I double checked with Brunswick. They told me it was plastic, actually polyester. I told the seller and they gave me my money back. Nice people.

I STRONGLY suggest you email or call Brunswick and find out what the ball is made of. I looked on bowlingballreviews.com and couldn't find it listed under overseas or discontinued listings. That's why I didn't bid on it.

OH, and I couldn't find on bowlingball.com's own website, where they sell a lot of overseas release.

Good luck.

Revolution is/was owned by Brunswick. They WERE the overseas (outside of US) marketing arm of Brunswick. All are Brunswick covers and cores. SOme GREAT products, as per usual with Brunswick!
