Title: Lord Field's Exodus & Pin Hacker
Post by: Pat Patterson on March 14, 2012, 05:57:16 AM
I got these from Tony on monday March 12, 2012.  I got a chance to drill them up tuesday evening and will hopefully get a chance to try them out this evening.  I will report out as soon as I get some games on them.

Thanks Tony!

I finally got a chance to throw the EXODUS and the PIN HACKER from LORD FIELD BOWLING. The EXODUS is laid-out with a2.4” PIN IN RF, NO WH, CG 1" RT OF CL, 1/2" ABOVE MIDLINE and the PIN HACKER is laid-out with a2.85” PIN IN RF, NO WH, CG 1-1/2" RT OF CL, 1/8" ABOVE MIDLINE. First used them in an older house with a synthetic overlay, this house is normally pretty dry, so suffice it say neither ball had a good look, although when the balls got to the pocket they both had exceptional carry. The line I had the most success playing was up 15 at the arrows to 5-6 at 40 feet with a little more speed than normal.

Got to use them both on my THS, which is a fairly new surface utilizing Twister Pins, a new Kegel oiling machine running a modified USBC White Pattern. On this pattern the PIN HACKER in a couple of games after league play looked pretty strong and promising, playing a line similar to what I mentioned above whereas the EXODUS was equally as impressive playing the same line. While there I got asked to sub on my own team to boot(injury, long story).

I decided to start with the PIN HACKER for game 1. Started out with a double and shot seemed to start transitioning immediately or it was me. I proceed to shoot 189, with a pocket 7-10 and a pocket 4-9. Game 2 started same way, but lanes got squirrelly as it started to get a little too over/under for me, beared-down and proceeded to shoot 221. Started game 3 with the EXODUS shooting the same line with a small 3/1 adjustment on the left lane and a 2/1 move on the right lane and proceed throw the front 6 before leaving a 10 pin in the 7th, then strung last 5 for a 279/689 series. Not bad since I wasn’t planning on bowling that evening. Overall, I was impressed with the carry of both balls and will most likely tweak the coverstock on the PIN HACKER to see what look I will have this week. As for the EXODUS, I plan on leaving the cover untouched and will use both again this upcoming week. I plan to practice a little more this week and will compare them to some of my current “non-Lord Field equipment”.

Overall impression is good, and looking forward to all the upcoming releases from this fine up-and-coming company.

To Tony Martin, thanks again for the opportunity to join your team at Lord Field.

How do they compare to the LM/L balls you have had over the years as far as strength to get an apples to apples comparison Pat?
