Monster Bowling Boogieman Review
« on: July 16, 2018, 07:46:01 PM »
I bought this ball out of curiosity of the Monster brand and I am glad I took the gamble! It does what you would expect a pearl ball to do, clears the fronts with ease and has a nice punch on the backend when it catches the dry.  The Boogieman is not an oiler by any means, but it handles the medium length patterns very well. I have thrown it on several different house shots, as well as the Viper pattern and it responded consistently on all of them.  It has replaced my Storm HyRoad Pearl in my bag and been a comparable option.  Overall, this is a great piece and is worth a look!

Bought the ball out of curiosity but a staff member? I'm confused

I bought it before I became a Staff Member, probably should have specified.

Good stuff then. I hope Monster makes it, what they've released has been interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the upcoming Lochness Pearl

I am looking forward to the Loch Ness Pearl release as well.  The Loch Ness has been a strong, smooth rolling ball for me and I typically prefer pearls over solids.

I've bought every Monster ball so far and will continue to buy them to support this new(er) company. I am interested to see what the other two new balls are that are coming out. Even though they've only shown the Lochness Pearl so far, they still haven't decided whether that will be the first of the three to the market.

As for the Boogieman, it's definitely my favorite release so far. It's fairly smooth for a shiny pearl. Almost a true benchmark ball. It has been good on multiple sport shots for me as well, plus on the house shots I've faced.

I thought the same thing! I was looking at them, but more choices for less money. Honey Badger fits that spot for less money, but that’s my opinion! I’m not a staffer either! Lol

The monster ball I am curious about is The Vamp. If anyone has tried this ball I would like to hear just how weak it is or can be and how it works for you.

I was with Monster at the time, but signed with California Bowling LLC in September.

Thought of that after the fact. That's cool. Just got my contract for them today.

Considering they are basically rebranded 900global stuff, I roll 900global well.
I tried the LM/Legends/LordField stuff before while its not bad, just didn't match well at the current time. Now i did apply with them same time i applied with Monster and Monster sent contract first. I spend soo much on different equipment i would like to just promote one brand and stick with one brand.
