MoRich PBA Certification - Not Yet
« on: May 09, 2003, 05:03:09 AM »
I saw a couple postings concerning why MoRich does not have their
equipment certified by the PBA.  I asked the question and got a
reply from Fred Carroll, Jr. (Director of Technical Services for MoRich
Enterprises).  MoRich was registered for a short period from Jul - Dec of 2001.
However, the PBA re-vamped the registration fee for the 2002 season and it was
more than MoRich could afford to invest. The new product registration has no
alternative programs for the smaller companies and the current lowest package
starts at $60,000, plus a fee of $7,500 if the ball makes a T.V. appearance.
The PBA is interested in working with the smaller bowling ball manufacturers
and is having discussions with MoRich. No good news to tell at this time, but
maybe they can come to a "business" agreement that doesn't break the bank and
gets the product some PBA exposure ... Regionals?
