these are actual pics, looks like the Maniac erase the logos and one would have a hard time telling them apart.

LOL, thought about it, but after talking with Ryan I didn't want to end up with something that I can't throw and end up giving it away, catch my drift?
At least not after 3 games, I'll test drive it tomorrow night in league and see what happens, thinking it will end up buffed or polished, it just sits on the ball cup going va-room va-room !!!

LOL, well said Bill, yours was ordered yesterday along with another 4-5 pin just for the dbl thumb. I never have gotten the hang of putting both thumbs in the ball, one seems to hang up.

Would you mind summarizing that conversation? I'm also planning to double thumb mine. My solaris pearl rolls very well with the d. thumb layout.

Also, how does the dull does the cover appear to be? I know it's listed at 4000 abralon but apparently that's not an exact defintion anymore...lol

For those who don't frequent the coverstock forum I'm referring to this thread. http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=233784&ForumID=17&CategoryID=5

Slap, chatted with Ryan last night I asked the same question, the ball is 4000 without a buff, means it is a duller finish opposed to the 4000 buff finish. The buff seems to give the ball a slight shine whereas the non buff finish has more of a matte finish.

Anybody else going to drill theirs the same as their original Solaris. Thats my plan. Then if things work out well, I could have the best 2 ball combo I could ever think of.

That's exactly what I am planning on doing.  I should have the Requiem on Friday.  Will get to try it out Sunday morning at States.  Being the States schedule is S/D at 9am, Team at noon and S/D at 3pm with no re-oil I am expecting a lot of oil for the 9am squad.  I am also bowling the next week S/D at 3pm so the Requiem will spend that day in the car .    Would love to have their light oil, high performance ball being unveiled at Bowl Expo for this squad!
