Does this cleaner add a grit surface to the ball like Ruff Buff or Storm Pro Finish Compound?

Yes,if it is put on with pressure or a ball spinner,it takes surface to about 800 grit.If applied lightly to the surface as directed for oil absorption it slightly takes the surface down.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what grit it goes down to since I want to use something like that for my NVD since I keep it at 1000 grit. I don't have a ball spinner so I would be using it by hand.

No need for the spinner,just a little elbow grease will do just fine.This stuff
really works well.
