Since, I have a TX1 and an SX1 I feel qualified to answer. All of my Visionary stuff reacts as hard or harder on the back end except for a B/G Centaur that I use from time to time.
All, I can say is from what Jeff tells me is that the houses and shifts he bowls on in NJ are drier than what we see in WI so that also might mean that there is less head oil and therefore fresher back ends. I can only guess. SX1 does not like carry down is it also mellows out the back. At least that's what I am seeing but I also think the lane conditions I see in WI have more oil from what Jeff tells me.
I believe it's the question of how clean the back end in your houses are and also how it's drilled and what kind of axis rotation.
On any kind of carry down the SX1 goes in the bag or I am moving right not left with my feet to counteract. Also, why you see most of the oil retained on the coverstock. My Sx1 low Rg starts up early and rolls hard with a decent roll into the 1-3 butNOT a pronounced skid-flip like an SS Ogre or even an Ogre Pearl which is an arcing pearl for me. They both have much more than my SX1. My Gladiator Solid also an arcing ball is close to the SX1...Glad Solid a lil more than the Sx1 and is not effected by carry down as much. SX1 @4000ab OOB and Glad Solid @2000ab OOB. SX1 lil weaker drill.
How have others with SX1's fared to compare?
