You can always try the double thumb layout with the pin that long.

I got a 6" pin Bounty laid out using the double thumb and the pin is only over my ring finger about 1".  The MB is right of the thumb with the weight hole about 1" right and the CG is .75" above the MB.

The layout looks like jbruno06's Code except my pin is 1/2" further left than that.
