The Break - experience
« on: October 04, 2007, 11:28:22 AM »
This was my comment to Eric Thomas about The Break. The layout is a 4x4 with the pin about an inch right from of the ring finger and the MB next to thumb. First ever comment of a bowling ball.

"I am still amaze how well the ball has performed for me. Still trying to get use to the way it turns and hits the pocket. I shot my first highest series with it a 754.
I gave it 2000 abralon finish and a lite polish with the bean sauce. I can throw it from the inside and outside of the lanes with positive results. I will say that it moves thru the front lane very smooth and makes it's aggressive back end turn at the breakpoint with a big whack.

Let's see if I can get a second Break so I can give it another layout. I feel very please with The Break"

Ordered a case and decided to drill one for my wife today.

Just received a text message stating she shot 300 first game with it.

Does that mean you put the MB in area B on the drill sheet?  Isn't area B supposed to be a smooth, continuous backend?  Area A is the position for an angular breakpoint.

^^^ For the last time, get off the drill sheet thing. The drill sheet is %100, dead-on, right. A and B are nothing more than markings on a picture representation,  for certain MB-PAP distances. Those MB-PAP distances correspond quite well, thank you very much, with what the drill sheet says each MB placement will do in regards to the ball's reaction. The sheet might not "look" like the final product on your ball, but everything is correct, WHEN YOU LEARN HOW TO READ AND WHEN YOU USE THE PROPER AND CORRESPONDING MB PLACEMENTS!!!!

Some people just want to start arguments, for no reason whatsoever. Get a life, bro, and maybe some basic bowling knowledge while you are at it.

I like it so much i had a pin up one drilled today, the break is the best overall ball for me i have owned.

Clears the heads with ease and huge move in the mid's and backend of the lane, yes it is stronger than my solid widow with the same pin to pap and mb to pap distances.

The break is a winner i would recommend to everyone here but Jkiser01 who sold it off in 5 games, either one of my Breaks will not be sold anytime soon.

I drilled up my Break 4.5 X 5 with the MB being drille dout by the thumb hole. The ball isn't quite as angular as I had hoped but rolls and carries good. From the inside it goes down and has a strong arc to the pocket. Part of the problem might be that I don't have a lot of side turn on the ball. I haven't tried polish because I think that would cut the hook down to much. Iam still very happy with the ball and it probably more my release than the ball causing the smoother backend.

Yeah, I have alot of side rotation and speed on the ball, therefore it is probablty THEE jumpiest ball of the spot for me.. This is definatly the most angular ball in my bag by far..

I'd agree.  Mine is drilled 4 x 6 (drilling #3) - MB directly under thumb.  Likewise, I do not have a lot of rotation.  Still a very strong and versatile ball.

I have yet to find a condition that I can't throw it on - from a fresh league shot to a broken down shot on Sunday afternoon, I can always find a line with the ball.
