Anyone have any news on AZO's new bowling balls? Where they can be bought upcoming releases? I am kind of interested in giving one a try.

There will be something sometime, a guru on here told me that storm owns the rights to the AZO line.

I was mistaken that it Legends/Lane Masters when i was told this by Storm staffer twice, he told me AZO and i was saying to him that he meant Legends because of the Stockton connection. So i think they will be popping something out soon probably by fall or so.

I was told AZO balls were only going to be overseas releases.

Storm owns the rights to the "new" AZO line, as mrbowlingnut said, and will produce the balls in Stockton. The R&D has been going on for a little bit already, and I would guess that the new balls are coming out some time later this year. Also, if I recall correctly, I believe there was an AZO brand recently selling in Asia. I don't know how this all fits in exactly, because I too once thought the Legends was the "new" Azo...but, apparently, that is not entirely the case. My inclination is that Legends took over the AZO factory and old R&D, but was unable to retain the rights to the company name. As a result, certain members might have "packed up" and went looking...AZO pumped out some Asian-market balls (maybe???) a few years ago, and the brand sold well enough to garner interest from Storm, etc., etc...

I am really interested in a ProTactics.  I contacted my driller and he stated overseas only.  If that changes, it would be good thing.

As an update and to let everyone know what is happening with AZO---

from an earlier Cyber Report...

*** Storm Products Inc. will launch its new AZO line of high performance bowling products at Bowl Expo in Las Vegas this month. Storm acquired the brand in 2005. Storm has invested time since then in the research and development lab testing new coverstock materials and core designs. The new motto, “Better Bowling Through Science,” was a result of this focus. “AZO has been a strong brand throughout Asia,” said Storm CEO Bill Chrisman, who hopes to build on the brand’s strengths with the new R&D, coupled with a new sales and marketing plan created to position AZO for both the international and domestic markets.

Azo balls will indeed be avaliable this fall both in the US and overseas. The website, www.azobowling.com, will provide links to purchase the balls depending on which region you reside. The Pro-Tactics and Ultra Radicals are the first models being released and will hit the streets running later this year!

thanks for your interest...

Musta been after the Little Boy was discontinued.  I can't imagine that one being a big seller in Japan.

I must be the only, if not one of the few people that enjoyed bowling with the Littleboy.  It never let me down whenever conditions suited to use it.

There are three new balls which are being released and will be available early November by AZO. The technical information on the Pro Tactics and Ultra Radicals is available at www.azobowling.com. And the balls can be ordered through the exclusive United States distributor Las Vegas Bowling Supply. They have an online website which is launching shortly, www.lvbsonline.com. And you can reach Johnny DeBenedetta, AZO's technical advisor, anytime to place your order or discuss the product at 866-244-4484.

Take care and good luck!

Spoke with LVBS today and they are saying, that you will be able to get the product from select Storm Pro Shops at a set undrilled price in the next month. They appear to be a little behind in production.
