Loving the Epicenter

Call it a figjam if you will, I don''t care.
Just wanted to let you guys know the Epicenter is VERY strong.
Drilled pin over bridge, MB slightly right (5.5" x 4.5"). Ending weights +.5/+.5 No weight hole.
I am somewhere between a stroker and a tweener, 16 MPH.
Wet/dry 39''THS (plus 5'' buff). Stand left, throw right (targeting 19 at the arrows, 8 at the breakpoint).
I had the usual tug room inside and bounce on the outside. Used one ball all night. Actually had to move right a couple boards due to carry down (we bowled against a team of women who threw entry level balls up 10 all night). Hit and carry were very good. Carry down did not hurt performance once I adjusted for it. Ball responds very well to hand position changes. Overall, I am very pleased with the reaction. It is rather angular, and very strong.

Shot 239, 235, 246 for a 720.
Not a bad way to open up the season.
Let''s see how long I can maintain a 240 avg

As an aside, our team is screwed. In addition to my 720, our #2 guy shot 741, and our #3 guy shot 708. I despise sandbaggers!

ive seen two people throw this ball and it makes even the greatest bowler better recovers from anywhere carries the world!!!!! this is the next IT ball everyone will have if the company can get some people to actually try it being that there a new company

I will concur, I just punched one to get a feel for the line, and the ball is crazy good, smooth push out, no real gripping in the mids, and just turns the corner hard
drilled it 55*x4"x30* which puts the pin up and right of ring, mb right of thumb 1/2" my cg was way out of line so I ended up with a 1" hole 2.5" deep slightly down from my pap on my axis line, resulted in a touch of finger a touch of side (1/2 oz each)

the roll is great the colors are better, I actually got a second from tekneek half silver half purple, really garnered some attention on the lanes, mainly the big handed guys who are always looking for the unique

thus far it appears to be a very good peice

Does Seismic have any other releases scheduled? I am interested in them and may give them a shot if AZO doesnt release the Area and Strike soon.

Glad you like it guys.

You can't start developing you're own equipment, and not make balls you want in your own bag. So you'll notice that although the covers handle a bit of oil, we've not made the cores super strong. You're right that they do respond very well for guys that can vary speed and release to make them match up, as would most equipment i suppose. But with the cores not being too strong in the midlane, those same bowlers who can usually hook the ball fairly effortless, see the advantage for the midlane push and more consistant breakpoint, and hence a bigger pop on the back.

Needless to say the range will grow to suit more and more players in good time. =]

Update.

Three weeks in, and this ball is still my favorite THS toy.

This ball did not seem to get stronger after several games like I have witnessed with some other 900G coverstocks. It was snappy right from the get-go. I have about 20 games on it now, and I am just staring to notice it taming down slightly on the back end. That''''s not a bad thing. It actually adds a bit more control/predictability to the move. It is normal for polished equipment to work it''''s way towards dull (and dull towards polished) as a result of normal use. If the reaction becomes too tame, I will resurface/restore the OOB finish. Hopefully that is a ways down the road. I am so pleased with this ball right now that I don''''t want to change a thing
