Radical Slant Hybrid - Review
A hearty thanks to Phil for the seed ball, #15.04 oz gross weight with a 3.5” pin.
Drilled 4-¼” P2P x 4” P2P (MB) x-hole at P2. I deviated somewhat on this ball, wanted a more controlled motion not a hard or violent move off the spot, hence the placement of the x-hole at P2 and not lower in the thumb quad, and a standard pin buffer of 4”.
I got what I was looking for in terms of reaction, heavy arcing monster The Slant Hybrid is a perfect fit between the Slant Pearl and the Slant Solid. The Solid is much earlier handle more oil, the Pearl has more natural length as one would expect from a polished pearl. The difference is the Hybrid handles more oil than the Slant Pearl, out hooks the pearl on the back end but does not bleed energy, nor does it sacrifice recovery and carry. It just didn’t quit moving, continuation is the more correct term. Moving left throwing right it never ran out of recovery it continued to come home, couldn’t really play the drier area I don’t have the ball speed, to over come the drier area and still keep the hybrid in play. All in all the Slant Hybrid is a match for any league bowler, bowling on the THS, those with higher rev rates can really see more potential from the Slant Hybrid.
