Elite PBA Pattern Balls
« on: February 26, 2006, 01:59:49 PM »
I was just looking on Bowlers Paradise..and saw these.  $289 a piece, add drilling, you're looking at $340 a ball.  5 patterns...about $1700 for the complete arsenal.  Are these balls guaranteed to win me a PBA Tour event?  If so I'll take it! hahaha.  Amazing....they must be great because I've seen 0 PBA bowlers use any of them.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

I don't know about winning you a title but Brian Voss did blow away the field with thme a few weeks ago to win the show.I actually sell Elite products and the balls are surprising pretty good. They have Brunswick characteristics, which makes sense because they pretty much are Brunswick balls just stronger.

I believe Norm Duke used the Alien on his previous  PBA outing. I think he came in second but the ball looked good for him. He was going rather straight as I recall and he even used it for his spare ball. Wouldn't mind trying one but it would break my heart to invest that much money in a single ball. I could get two Lane 1 balls for that.

If you ever notice Norm always uses the same ball as his spare ball, just this past weekend he used the Xfactor Ace for strikes and spares.  Its not the balls its the bowlers.  Elite are overpriced brunswicks they are not different they are not stronger they are brunswick core and covers and a whole lot of wasted money.  Its a gimmmick no more no less, I am not saying they are bad balls I am just saying no bowling ball on earth is worth $289 plus drilling.

also the day Norm was going straight with the Alien,so was Chris Loschetter with the Enriched Uranium,so seems conditions were a tad bit oily,I threw the Alien 2 games and It seems like it hooked quite a bit on medium oiled lanes...but well see.
