Many thanks to Phil for the seed ball to do a performance review. Nice blending of the two colors, ball has a lot of appeal for a solid. #15/3 gross weight with 3 oz top, 3-3.5" pin.
Drilled and used for the first time 2/2 in league on a fresh medium - medium heavy ths, 41 ft pattern with OB at 3 Pro Anville lanes (4 yrs old). Went with a 5 x 3 pin over with a 25/32, 2.25" deep x-hole 1" below mid line 1-1/2" past my val, x-hole 6-3/4" from pin. Ball at box finish. After a very brief warm up of 5 balls I found a line began and finished standing at 35, set down at 15, to 8 at the down lane markers. Just pure killing field, like shooting ducks in a wash tub. Had 30 clean frames 2 balls with 8 count (operator error), rest were either 7 pin, 9 pin and best of all only 3 ten pins all night, 228,238,235 solid 9 and a couple smash mouth pocket 7's kept 2 games from being in the 250-260 range. Phil also sent a black t-shirt with the company logo and "Phil - osophy" "Radical, it's more than an attitude" ended up selling 6 of those last night !!!
TUS for a solid is very clean up front, almost as clean as the pearl Times Up, has more angularity than I thought it might, very strong hard hook off the spot. Plenty of recovery plenty of hook !! More than you will realize until you throw it yourself, for a lower tier priced performance ball do not be fooled, this ball will hook with any mid to mid high priced ball from any manufacturer !!!
