I think the telecast of the bowling stadium is by far the best of all the telecasts the PBA offers.

-Better camera angle (overhead, 2nd to Japan Cup)
-Bigger audience
-More professional production

They should use the overhead straight angle all the time.  The 45 degree to the side angle sucks and you can't get an understanding of what the ball is doing at all.

O'neill was throwing a hot sauce pearl on the left lane and magic on right lane. Did anyone here what PA said to O'neill after O'neill struck with the one pearl? It sounded like he said "the ball that never hooks"

You also have to remember that the bowling stadium is a building that is like no other. For all the extra room that are in some places in the building it is easy to get the higher shots. I don't miss going to Reno but I do miss bowling in the NBS.

True, but I think they can use an overhead camera like they are doing today at the other tournaments.  The side angle is horrible for seeing what the ball is doing.  I like the overhead much more.  It also shows newbies how far the ball goes down the lane straight before it even starts hooking.

Due to the low ceilings in a lot of centers I can't see that they could.

Exactly.  That's why they don't use the overhead angle at most centers -- they can't.
