So...no offense...but what a boring show! First up, you have the lopsided victory of Barnes & Koivuniemi against Wes & TJ. Then, the "close to the finish, but everybody chokes" match. I'm not like some ignorant person, too. I know what they are bowling on. I know about the heat. I know that spares are part of the game. In fact, I would love to see a heated (pun intended), down to the wire match of spares, split conversions, etc. But there was ZERO energy on the lanes today. It wasn't fun to watch. It wasn't entertaining. If this is the PBA's way of trying to create more interest in the sport, it isn't working.
Anyways...besides my little rant...
1) Props to Kent for playing and making key spares even though he looked like hell and had the stomach flu.
2) The Raid in TJ's hands is too much -- all that flare with the strong cover...bad over/under as seen on TV
3) Black Widow Pearl is "ehh" in Billy O's hands...nothing special, IMO
4) Why in the world was Wiseman trying to play that far outside? Now, I know that the pro's know the best about where to play, etc. But a bit more inside, with more forward roll, like Barnes or Mika, looked like a much better line. Of course, though, I wasn't there, so...perhaps the sun changed the lanes a bit...
5)Columbia 300 makes a return. Exciting, right? Umm...no...not exactly. Just another bunch of ballyhoo and balls.
That's all, folks.
