It appears, that one of bowling's national treasures has been reactivated.

It was a pleasure, to see and read the various comments that some if sports elite and no elite bowlers step up.

USBC and BPAA, are organizations that for decades have dealt with poor management and various other issues. Bowling is like a fortune 500 company.

But these organizations have not conducted themselves in such a manner. And now, the results have finally caught up with us in the present.

Usbc and bpaa, are having major issues far from just the us open. And within the next 20-30 years. Bowling might become simply a backyard game.

Now, look at the the national bowling association or tnba. Is an organization that's been around since adc started.

I was a member of the organization before, and tnba has quietly become a strong light in a dark and unsure future for bowling.

I want to thank all that stated their comments and have offer there various assistance in this matter.

The only way for things to get better is for the USBC and BPAA to fail.  Wonder when someone else will start up a new organization to start fresh.  The current organizations have proven to be incompetent.

When it comes to bowling, do not hold your breath on a replacement anytime soon...you could substitute PWBA for USBC and BPAA and realize that we are a decade removed from the demise of the PWBA and there is no viable alternative.  The sideshow act the PBA put together is simply not anywhere close to the same thing.

Totally agree with this. I remember a PBA show.. It was a show that also had a women's final on; just can't remember what year.. I believe Liz Johnson vs. Josie Earnest. They provided more excitement than the rest of the entire show, because they had tied and went into a roll-off. At the end of it, Liz had said that it was this excitement and their performance as to why they need a women's tour back...

that still has fallen on deaf ears.

I have low revs and slower ball speed so I actually appreciated and learned more about ball reactions from watching the women bowl but obviously I was in the minority if their viewing numbers were low.

I learned more about ball speed and accuracy from the women more than anything. Granted you had Kulick, Mack, Boomershine, and Feldman who could rip the cover off the ball as well as any of the men could, but when it came down to repetitively making accurate shots over and over and over again, the women had it nailed.

As far as straightening this ship, I don't know what it's going to take; but I do know that the multi-tiered sports networks that we have now aren't helping things.. I mean, if it isn't the 3 or 4 major sports, every other sport is relegated to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, digital, or regional tiered networks, meaning that the coverage gets lost in the obscurity. That non-relevance is one of the factors turning bowling into a niche sport.
