2023 US Open

So, Us Open concluded yesterday, thought the pattern choices this year were interesting as always and lead up to the show with the BowlTV coverage was really well done.

Extra show on FS1 Saturday for the 5-9 seeds was a lot better of an idea in my opinion than I thought before it happened.

The TV show on Fox yesterday was really good, but had the unfortunate deal of the first match getting bumped to FS2 due to college basketball, and a very rushed trophy and jacket presentation because of the time crunch in the time slot.

All that said, what a freaking show though, coming down to a bowler having to deliver in the tenth frame to win is everything you can ask for. Really good start to hopefully a really good season for the PBA.

All of these naysayers thinking it doesn't need to be quiet during a bowler's shot obviously have never bowled for thousands of dollars on TV. You'd want it quiet, too.

Just like everything else in this world.............you arent going to get everyone to agree on everything.  Some people need it quiet and some apparently do not.

That is true. I am glad the professional basketball players don’t demand silence when they are at the free throw line.

Rather than trying to quiet the crowd down, theybshould have a few hype men whose job is to hype the crowd up. Make sure they are invoked and having a good time. I think crowd noise and involvement is good when you are in the arena.

I’ve always said that I wish a fan base would try something like this. When opponent is shooting free throws have it be dead silent and then only one person from different parts of the arena yells if you truly wanted to distract your opponent. Plus it would just be really funny.
