95 TPC - The Finish
« on: March 28, 2005, 04:19:33 AM »
Needed a place to post the small video clip. Enjoy it if you haven't seen it before:

If it doesn't play right away - save it then open it with Windows Media Player.

Wow story of his life. One of the best approaches I have ever seen to not be successful over a great length of time. Great vid. What was his throwing?

Throwin' the Fire Quantum. That is one HARD HITTING ball. Mine also likes to leave the occasional STONE. More than any other ball. I like it as a "step-down" ball from my Absolute.

Haha WOW, that sucks...you dont see many pros leave solid 8s or 9s on tv much, especially one that costs them a win. I take it that was for the title?

Well if he was with Storm then, like he is now, it would have definitely carried! Haha, not some Boring B ball...

Not only "the title", but it was a MAJOR. What is often forgotten is that Ernie deserved the win. He was knocked out of the tournament leader spot by Randy the night before in the position round match. During the show, He came from behind and beat Voss the match prior to this one. He threw only quality shots in the title match.
Randy opened the match with a "bucket crumbler strike followed by a messenger ten strike, and without that it would not have been as close. In any case, probaby the single most emotional tenth frame that you will ever see.

While maybe Ernie deserved to win, Randy didnt need that kind of celebration after his heartbreaking moment.

Holy...I couldn't of handled that. I would of cried on the lanes, that's not even cool to lose like that. Stupid Brunswick balls...

Exactly, I remember wishing I could slap Ernie Schlegel after that.  Possibly one of the worst displays of sportsmanship ever.  Perfect example of how not to act when you win.
