Title: A.LaCaze / Local guy from Illinois makes it to the round of 8
Post by: chitown on November 07, 2008, 08:53:23 AM
Local guy from Illinois is bowling in the round of 8.  A. LaCaze smoked D.Castillo in the round of 16 and beat S.Rash in the round of 32.  I bowled on the same pair with this guy during the Elgin No Tap.  He's a very good bowler!  I would like to see him win the tourney!

Anyone on this site ever see him bowl?

This kid must be for real. He just beat Angelo 4-2 and is on the show Sunday. I love seeing new blood make it to the show and really enjoy a story like this!!

What a dream for this guy. He makes it thru PTQ as an amateur and now he is on the show!! I hope he does well..

A. LaCaze is an amateur BUT he's really dam good!  I bowled on the same pair as him at the Elgin, Illinois no tap tourney.  This guy has won the No Tap a few times.  I've also been told by Rich (duke harding) that he's won several other local tourney's.  Rich, bowled with his dad many times and watch this guy bowl when he was young.

I'm going to be rooting for him for sure.  A local guy making thur the PTQ as an amateur is awesome!  If he could earn an exmption by winning the tourney he will be a STRONG FORCE on tour!  He's that good!

During the Elgin No Tap he was rolling a T-Road solid and crushing racks!

He should be well known in a lot more areas now, the guy is legit, he bowled for Saginaw Valley State in college, same as Bill O'Neill, and having those two as a 4-5 was just deadly.

Good luck Tony, show them all what you're made of.

I met him last year also at the elgin no tap I think I won one or two brackets from him.  Good guy and rolls the ball very well.  Good luck to him, it's nice to see someone go through the TQR and make the finals.
