A little help please...
« on: June 20, 2007, 03:47:42 AM »
Ok I just finished my first leg of the PBA exp league. First 4 weeks was on the Cheetah pattern...4 games 2 on each pair, doubles scratch. The first 2 weeks I crushed them 669 and 718 yes 4 games enter puking sound....here! Anyway, I rebounded and finished with a 186 average. Now I move on to the Viper. Can anyone who has shot on this tell me what seems to score the highest....I am looking for overall I guess...Line, type of ball ,sanded, polished, strong drill etc. I throw around 16-17mph. I just feel so horrible I have 8 weeks left and I severly need to rebound starting tonight! Thanks in advance for any and all advice!!

Haven't bowled on Viper yet but I am glad to be finished with Scorpion. Chameleon is up next for me. It has been quite an EXPERIENCE so far, quite a humbling one.

I've been using an Ebonite Overtime on the viper pattern. I have the ball drilled to roll early with 1000 grit abralon on the surface. Also by rotating my hand to the side of the ball I can get it to roll even earlier. You need a ball with a controlled backend for this pattern. With this ball I play up the 7 board till I burn a hole then I move 5 boards left with a TPC Shooter XL and bounce it off that spot. I'm averaging 218 in my league so I must be doing somthing right. Good luck with finding the right ball and spot!
