On a PBA telecast...
« on: December 08, 2010, 05:28:39 PM »
Do you know how there's a policy from the Ebonite and Storm family that staff members can throw any ball from their family company during qualifying and matchplay? For ex, a Columbia staff member can throw Track, Ebonite, and Hammer?
Does this equate to the PBA telecast too? I always thought that staff person had to bowl with exclusively their own company's equipment? I'm looking at the Don Johnson Buckeye Eliminator and what Barnes' is throwing in the title match.

From what i understand of the rule using your example of someone on Columbia's staff they can use any of the other 3 companies during the week..hammer, ebonite or track but on TV day they must use Columbia

If you have Xtraframe, try rewatching the title match. I am 90% positive Barnes is throwing a Track 505A on the right lane. The color scheme is just that unique. No way can that be Momentum Swing or a Power Swing.

It was about two years ago. Not the one with Malott, Palerma, Kretzer in it, but Koivuniemi, Barnes, Scroggins, and Rhino Page. Barnes was using a Power Swing on the left hand side, unless he was using two of the same ones and the Power Swing polished on the right? If you have Xtraframe, its about 1 hour and 24 minutes in.

1st of all, WHO THE F CARES.  The show was on two years ago.

2nd of all, you are 100% WRONG about the ball, because the 505A wasn't even out yet during that show.

3rd STFU cause you are wrong.

The 505A was approved in Sept of 09 so that would be kinda hard to use 2 years ago. Without going back and looking at the video I would say it was a Power Swing.

Thanks Crankenstein for the info. I knew the 505A was released on the 10/21/2009 but forgot about the USBC approval date.
