I haven’t kept track, maybe someone else has, but in the normal PBA TV format has the second match winner gone on to win the tournament more often than the first match winner?

Or in other words is it an advantage to bowl in the second match?

Advantages of winning the second match to me would be.

1) You don’t have to wait thru a match.

2) You are familiar with how the lanes are breaking down.

3) And you have just won on the current condition.  

Advantages of winning the first match to me would be.

1) Going into the practice session you might not go in with a preconceived idea of how to play the lanes and would be more aware of how the lanes are breaking down.


To me there is an advantage of being in the second semi-final match.
