Chris & Bo were by far the best announcers.  I really miss the good ole days.

Chris Schenkle (sp?) was absolutely perfect for bowling.  Low key for the most part, moments of excitement, and Bo Burton was just as perfect for color commentary.  Gave it to you straight, knew how to build up drama, and obviously knew his stuff.

Dave Ryan is hopeless, and Randy Pederson is tolerable.  I used to be a big Pederson fan until his TOC rant, but his absolute classless comments to Norm Duke during the Roll to Riches.

"Well Norm, I'd love to say we have a good match at the TOC..... but I'd be lyin.  Anyways...."

Dick Stockton did a pretty good job for a "rookie" on the 1974 New Jersey Open (HBO Sports telecst). Skee Foremsky was his partner - he was NO BO for sure.
Actually - I kind of liked Bo's predecessor - Billy Welu.

I've been listening to Earl Anthony and Mike Durbin working some of the 1995 telecasts. Together they did a great job.
