Sure is Interesting....

I just find it really interesting and cool that last year i was bowling High School playoff matches with this kid, and now he is averagind 207 at the US Open after day one and sits in 60th place. He is only freaking 19 years old. His name is Ryan Friend from Staten Island NY. There is no doubt he is good, i mean he did average 240 for the High School Season, which isnt an easy task. Ryan is a great bowler no doubt!!! I was really impressed with how he bowled yesterday. Hopefully he will be able to bowl well all week. The kid can really throw it.

looks like he slipped up a little today, shooting 1051 for 6 games, wonder if the fresh shot gave him some trouble today considering the b squad will be shooting on a fresh shot tomorrow also since yesterday they shot after the a squad and the lanes were scorched

From what I have heard. People have lots of fun bowling on the Open pattern...when they are by themselves. Some people load it up into the machine back home to try out. The best advice is to play the pattern with a couple friends on it. It gets nasty.

Looking through the list. Some people I know were stellar the first day, decent at best on the second.

Squad B is almost always the higher scoring squad.

With the 3 squads on different conditions you really have to wait till after the 3rd day to see how anyone is doing.

Yeah, I know Kip from the regional tour. He is definitely not lacking in self-confidence, that's for sure.
