Pba Dallas Open= GREAT time!!
« on: January 21, 2005, 02:29:55 PM »
Me and user g_thing spend the entire day at DC West here in Dallas watching the round of 32 then 16 and finally the round of 8 and what a fricken great time I had!! I was able to talk to sveral pros for extended period of time and Robert Smith, Rick Lawrence, Dave Traber and Brad Angelo where all awesome guys to talk with. YES I said David Traber. I talked to him the longest and he was awesome. For all you Traber haters out there, go suck an egg!! LOL..

All in all a great show and what a bonus I received when Patrick Garard beat Michale Machuga to amke his first TV show. I was sitting in the front row and I congratulated him and he then handed me one of his balls that he used to make the TV show (his first I might add). I couldn't believe it!! He handed me a zone classic. I then had him sign and date the ball with the inscription 1st TV show. He bowled great all day sweeping Mika in the round of 32, then beating Hugh Miller and finally getting to the show beating Machuga. Let me add that Machuga's girlfriend is extremely nice looking and VERY friendly..

Parker, Walter Ray, Brad Angelo, can't name them all, but they where all very friendly and handed autographs to anyone that ask.

My pick for the TV is Patrick Girard. If he throws the ball like he did today, he will win the tourny on Sunday!! For all you Brunswick nuts, the Absolute INferno looked awesome!! All the Big B guys where throwing them. Angelo used his almost all day. He even said this ball was going to be a winner!!

All in all I had a GREAT time. I am sure g-thing will throw his 2 cents in to this when he gets time!!

WRW was using the Rule GP2 for most of the day. He threw the unleashed a little bit but for the most part was playing off the gutter with the GP2..

Yes Wiseman was using Morich stuff and all you Lane 1 freaks, Michale Haugan JR was using an old LRG and the 2 Uraniums (solid and pearl) quite a bit today..

Wiseman said he really liked the WMB..

Thanks for the report, I'm so jealous.

Hey Jim, Sorry I had that last minute change of plans Thursday nite--had to switch my morning plans because of some bad planning on the part of some "bass whole" who, in the final analysis, probably didn't appreciate what I gave up---then I had to work at three and couldn't make the afternoon and evening match play---would have loved to spent the day out there with you guys.......

People get to pick and choose on when to see the Texas Rangers from April to the end of September.  Unfortunately for most bowling fans, they get part of one week to see the pros....

ANYWAY, remember that you said you owed me "big time" after that last trade??
Well. about that Zone Classsic you just got.......  lol

Seriously, I'm glad someone I know got a "goody"........For anyone that has never gone to a Pro-Am, this is a great time to meet the bowlers --these guys are one of the best assets the PBA has -- a real chance to meet these guys up close.  These guys are real ambassadors for the sport of bowling.

So you like this guy????
Yeah, he treats me sweet -- I met him at a bowling alley.         (Matchstick Men)
