Amateur leading after 2 games!
« on: January 13, 2005, 04:21:50 AM »
Check it out.  The leader after 2 is the amateur qualifier. He shot 582 for TWO GAMES.  How in the world do you do that?  295 & 287?  I can't think of any other reasonable combinations....

He's the General Manager of that Centre, I guess that's what you call home field advantage huh!

Apple, he shot a 297 his first game, so his second game was a 285...not sure how you get a 285, but he did it.

Next game he shoots 287 for a 869.  There were five eight hundreds.  That is some incredible scoring.

I know that these guys are great, but the hell are they throwing at out there? I'm not taking anything away from anyone, particularly the amateur. You still have to throw the ball, but, when +269 is leading after three games and 0 gets you last place, it's safe to say that the shot is pretty damn wide open. I hope that the ABT throws that shot down for us this weekend. Sure, I'd still only average 195 on it, but that's because I suck. At least the others will have some fun ; )

I can't bowl 300, but I can bench 315 : )

290 for Bobby Stives the forth game.  Might not be the typical shot.

In my opinion, scores are disappointing.  The best should be bowling on the toughest conditions.  I don't know what is going on, but the condition is playing too easy.

I hope the PBA lane man did not lay out a wall.  And I dont think that is the case since it also took a 240 average to lead the PTQ.
