I always DVR the bowling (unless it is live) even though I'm getting old enough to forget the results from Friday's finals

Football - Rush to watch bowling that is worse than what I see in local tournaments - and it is not live - why?

---------------------------------------

Probably a little harsher sounding than I intended. The words less challenging, interesting, and engaging might apply better. In the local tournaments the lanes are not re-oiled so everyone has to chase the oil all the way - those that can''t adjust frame by frame fail - and the lane pairs are rarely close to the same.

Don''t want to come down that negative on someone''s career choice but without the high paydays the matches are not as rewarding to watch.

For ESPN and the PBA, if you are going to put the show in the can long before it is seen can''t you work in some better camera angles to highlight how the bowlers do what they do - maybe a super-slow-motion shot of the bowlers from 3/4 front, or side when they make a great shot? The adage: Shoot more, show less often produces good results. You will know how all this fits the time slot long before it is shown.

BOWLING. Plain and simple.  It comes first for me, and always will, EVEN THOUGH SOME SELFISH PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY POSTED THE WINNER.

Bowling. I might flick over a few times to check on football scores, but bowling always takes top billing when its on TV.

They probably learned their lesson from the WSOB in Detroit.  They had plenty of empty seats, you just didn't see them on TV since they shifted audience members to fill the empty seats they couldn't avoid showing in the background of shots.

How do people feel about the ball ratings system they had? I love that they acknowledge the balls now, but I''m not so sure of their ratins accuracy. So a Taboo and Mission 2.0 are 10''s, but a Mission is a 9? I thought for a second that they were basing it off of how it was drilled/surfaced, but when two bowlers had Missions rated at 9 I got worried lol.

Maybe the smaller crowd? I got that underwhelming feeling as well, as if it wasn't that important. They made the Team Shootout seem like a bigger deal than this and that was just an exhibition.

By far the worst telecast yet. I have a very bad feeling that if this is setting the mood for the year, that there will be no more PBA tour next year.
