I know that Randy Pederson doesnt seem to have many friends in the boards of BR.com, but is anyone out there hoping he puts a good week together so that the broadcast might be Randy less?

I'm surprised that Randy is bowling the TQR. I thought he pretty much decided to hang up the shoes last season. Was his retirement just referring to the fact that he wasn't going to bowl trials?

I was thinking a Dave Ryan-less booth, but whatever...

No, my name is not Prince and I'm not particularly funky.

Yeah, I had to edit my original post after checking the roster. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing him back on Tour. First of all, it get's him out of the booth

Secondly, the man has a very solid physical game. He's one of the guys that I think of when I complain about the exempt tour. Guys like Randy still have plenty of game, but the exempt format shuts them out.

I've only bowled 300, but I've benched 345

I can do without Holman, but I would like to see Randy back in competition. I don't think he ever got credit for being as good as he really is.

How bout Randy Pederson ?
-
I'd like him to bowl...(love his style...especially in his winning wrist braces days)...and I like his announcing. I LOVE him AND Norm Duke in the booth and Dave Ryan doesn't bother me at all!

Couldn't agree more...the man still has a lot of game and definately knows the ins and outs of the modern game. I would love to see him back out on the lanes....its really a shame that the new format shut him and others out.

He can bust a golf ball too.
Although he struggled some the day we played he was pretty long off the tee.

I am totally for Randy. I know he is not a favorite here and gets a little caught up in his cliches, but I think he is doing it for the right reason. To bring a little more attention to his sport of bowling. I hope he does well.

I never had any problems w/ Randy. I remember 3 specific events that he was in:
1) 1987 National Championship: Beating Marshall 279-170; It was the 4th frame and Holmann looks into the camera and mouths "It's Over," then Nelson Burton Jr. says "That's not the right attitude."
2) 1987 Fair Lanes Open: The very next week Randy wins...changing his equipment from a Black Rhino to a Blue Ebonite Firebolt. Not too many people have done the feat of winning 2 weeks straight
3) 1995 Bayer Tour Players Championship: He lost to Ernie Shleigal, but not because of his physical game (which was spot on), but because Ernie defeated him with the one strength he has on the lanes: The mental game. He kept on taunting him throughout the match and in the end, all Randy needed was a strike and good count to win. He left the 4 pin, then all of a sudden Ernie's running all around the arena yelling "I don't believe it! I don't believe it!" It just goes to show that you don't necessarily have to be better than your opponent, you just have to be smarter
Hey Randy, don't f**k it up if you're bowling the PTQ! You wouldn't want someone to make a noise so you can blame them for a bad hit like you did in the ToC when obviously it was just a bad break (wasn't it an 8 pin that he left?)

randy finished 38 in the ptq with an average of 200 exactly. its too bad i would have loved to see him make tv, that time he was against norm and somebody made a noise, that was too bad i think he deserved to win that match at least

Randy lost the match to Schlegel by leaving a solid 8 not a 4... He lost by getting a bad break not mentally.
-
He's very ARROGANT...if you're not one of HIS posse/clique...ie...golfing/bowling buddy's...your not even gonna get the time of day!
-
Randy may be liked more if instead of whining and crying, he utilizes a pacifier.
-
I'm a Randy Pederson fan. I like him in the booth, and he's a great bowler. I hope makes a T.V. appearence this year.
Getcha a hand full son!!
