PBA StrikePass has added a couple of new shows to their playlist.
One of them is the 1995 Dick Weber Classic, sponsored by AMF, and broadcast by ESPN, with Mike Durbin and Earl Anthony in the booth. The production quality is very high, much better than what we have now, IMHO.
The format is four bowlers bowling at the same time, on two pairs of lanes, two per pair. The winner of each match gets 30 bonus pins. Each bowler bowls a game against each of the other players (three games), and the two with the highest pinfall (including bonus pins) bowl one game for the title.
That's cool enough, but when the four players are David Ozio, Walter Ray Williams, Jr., Doug Kent and Norm Duke... well, you couldn't ask for too much more.
This was Ozio's last title. If you love to watch bowling, you are gonna love this show!
I could watch it over and over for days
, but my wife would kill me.
